Hey, just discovered this today while doing some research on Ezra's Eagle and found your article on it. I'm very grateful for how clearly and carefully you've laid all this information out, including references to do our own study.

I did have one thought regarding the two little feathers that are consumed by the eagle simultaneously. Esdras 11:28 states: "And I beheld, and, lo, the two that remained thought also in themselves to reign." Then, in verse 31: "And, behold, the head was turned with them that were with it, and did eat up the two feathers under the wing that would have reigned." You suggest that these two rulers being consumed simultaneously might signify two sides of a civil war or a national divorce. That may be, but there are two phrases in the verses above that make me think of another theory. They are, "thought also in themselves to reign" and "that would have reigned." This makes it sound as though the two feathers might not be rulers at all, but candidates who only hope to rule. I could see these two feathers being the Republican and Democrat parties' presidential nominees, campaigning for the next election after the second feather's term comes to an abrupt end. However, both of them end up being destroyed before the election ever occurs, perhaps while in the same location out on the campaign trail. Just some food for thought.

I wish I could stand and scream, and have everyone understand the love God has for us. I wish all could understand, humble themselves, and be completely prepared for what is coming. I know what I had to go through to enable me to make some long overdue but necessary changes. I don't wish that on anyone, but I do if it is necessary to cause change. What the future holds, is already making me weep for everyone that will refuse to be humble and change. And, I pray that we will all be able to be filled with the love of God and have His spirit that we may endure it.

So I had a question about the first presidency call out. Do you think that it would happen in all areas? I live in a more rural area in the southwest that is out of the way. I would like to think that I would be included in a call out but wonder how the church would be able to handle a world-wide call out that would include everyone (well, anyone who will listen). My wife and I kind of get the feeling that we need to be prepared for our area to not be officially called out and be ready to move into the mountains then hopefully be directed to a gathering place afterwards by the spirit. Anyway, thoughts? Thank you!

There are some interesting ideas in Sister Stoddard's works. For me personally, a few of the items cause me to wonder if they are meant as other things. The Bible is rich in meaning and at times we speculate on the imagery from our own lense of understanding. Hence the need for personal revelation and Prophets, seers, and revelators. I think taking her information and citations and doing your own research along with prayer and listening to the Spirit is the key. I have a feeling even she would look at a few of the ideas and need to revise as time moves on and new light comes to us as members. It is clear that something is more than significant in the days in which we stand. President Nelson's call at conference that, "time is running out", then the call for all the apostles and presidency in Rome, then adding a Solemn Assembly with a Hosanna shout, and Proclamation as HUGE!! Now adding our forced use of the inspired Come Follow Me in our homes just shows how quickly the work is being hastened.

I appreciate the understandings of how life and ritual work in the ancient world. It is always insightful to learn how they lived and what part's of their belief still apply to them and to us today. I have a theory that there are three types of people in the church as it pertains to the last days. Those who say we do not know when the time is, so just be good all the time, those who say the Prophets have been saying it is close for years and we have lots of time, and then those of us that feel a desire to watch for the signs and have a clearer understanding of where we are in relation to Christ's coming. I suppose that also goes along with praying for His return. I am seeing and hearing non-members and even those who have little association to religion begin to wonder if it is, in fact, the days the "religious" people talk about

There are a few ideas that have different understandings that make it necessary for us, as church members to inquire of the Lord. I will give one example. Wilford Woodruff, "On July 15, 1894, again in the Tabernacle, President Woodruff taught: “These angels that have been held for many years in the temple of our God have got their liberty to go out and commence their mission and their work in the earth, and they are here today on the earth. I feel bold in saying this to the Latter-day Saints. There is meaning in these judgments. The word of the Lord cannot fall unfulfilled.”8 In yet another discourse, he cited Doctrine and Covenants 86:5–7 and said: “I want to bear testimony to this congregation, and to the heavens and the earth, that the day comes when those angels are privileged to go forth and commence their work. They are laboring in the United States of America; they are laboring among the nations of the earth, and they will continue.”(“What Prophets Have Said About Destroying Angels in the Last Days” LDS Living). If this was meant as Him speaking for the Lord then it seems the destroying angels are not about to be loosed but already have been at work for years. This is the problem we have with trying to put timelines together for the Last Days. I will still continue to study and ask though as all of us who seek to see the signs and have "eyes to see and ears to hear" do. It is also a great thing to learn of how His people who have not yet been restored still seek Him and the signs they await.

SECOND Edition - Updated, Corrected and with a few NEW insights. This replaces the original series I did, which contained an error where a slide had gotten mis-placed in the discussion with Pres. Nelson's talk, but belonged elsewhere. I had deleted the mis-placed slide back in early May 2020 - but wanted to add it back in the appropriate position AND put IN a scripture he did reference which had inadvertently I left out. There are other copies of this series out there, and I am encouraging those who made the copies to replace them with the updated version.

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and am in good standing with the Church. It is my primary and sole (even soul) intent to represent the scriptures and apostolic/Prophetic quotes as accurately as possible in order to bring people closer to Christ. Any imperfect portrayals on my behalf are caused by a sincere, yet fallible desire to portray a perfect message.

I am new to the forum and have just finished watching the 4 part series by Jodi Stoddard. There is no mention of Jodi's background and whether she is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in good standing. If anyone has this information please share.
